The dictionary definition of the word ‘opaque’ infers that if something is opaque, then it is difficult to see through, and in an almost literal sense, opaque tights conform to this.
In a fashionable sense, opaque tights are useful for those bright flashes of colour to highlight, contrast or complete any outfit. Whether they are a simple black or flesh colour, or pillar box red or tartan, they essentially hide bare flesh whilst retaining the natural shape of the legs. Most department stores, pharmacists and many high street retailers will have a selection of opaque tights, particularly of the more traditional colours such as black or nude. However, for something a little brighter then Aristoc, Jonathan Aston and Pretty Polly all have a wide selection.
